About JDI

Jaka Distribution Inc. (JDI) is one of the biggest distribution and logistics company provider in the country. It started way back in 1990 with the distribution of its own safety matches covering all teritary accounts nationwide through its self owned van trucks. Now, JDI is covering a total of almost 30,000 direct accounts nationwide.

In 1995, JDI opened its doors to third party logistics, servicing major confectionary players such Master Foods Phils (M&M) including their pet food products — Pedigree. It was then followed by British American Tobacco (BAT) owners of Lucky Strike and Capri in 1998 and was followed by Arnott's in year 2000.

By 2002, the company further strengthened its capabilities by launching their own in — house brands in the packaged paper industry such as Blooms Bathroom Tissue, Prestige Table Napkins and Facial Tissue, Charm Bathroom Tissue and Fiesta Table Napkins. After a year from the introduction of Blooms in the market. it has won already 3 major awards as the most outstanding bathroom tissue brand by the National Consumers Quality Awards, Organization for Peace and Progressive Oriented Inc., and National Consumers Affairs Foundation. Thus signifying its competitive marketing group.

The Organization for Peace and Progressive Group also awarded JDI's Softwhite brand with the Most Outstanding Cotton Product Award. The brand together with Angel Soft and Softips Cotton Buds are also part of another line of in — house brands by Jaka belonging to the cotton category, which were launched early 1990's.

Aside from this, the company has already started to penetrate the personal care industry with the launch of Stix hair Styling Gel an Baby Scents Cologne at the middle of this year. This will be their fighting brand in their respective categories.

To complement its vast distribution and logistics capabilities, Jaka Distribution Inc. will transfer to a new and bigger office warehouse along Sucat by early 2004. Complementing this would be the updgrade of its new SAP system and implementation of WMS or Warehouse Management System Modules to its distribution centers nationwide.
